HX Family

HX Family Overview
The Line 6 HX family of processors offer the same quality of HX modelling that you would find in our flagship Helix. They are just smaller more compact versions, designed to fit nicely onto a pedalboard or to sit neatly on a desktop in a studio. In this video Paul Hindmarsh takes a look at the current line-up.

HX Effects Connections
Join Paul Hindmarsh as he discusses some of possible connection scenarios with Line 6 HX Effects. It could be as simple as running effects to the front end of an amp like any traditional stomp box, or it could be something far more more versatile and complex. Note - Full HX Edit control will be coming this spring. HX Edit is currently a librarian and impulse response loader.

Looping with HX Effects
Paul Hindmarsh spotlights some of the groovy things you can do with the HX Effects stereo looper. Adding multiple textures using different effects on each pass, panning overdubs left and right, dropping the loop to half speed, and reversing the entire loop to create psychedelic soundscapes—it's all great fun (and the looper is a cool practice tool, too). Warning: it can all get a bit crazy!

HX Effects Controlling External Gear
As well as being fully loaded with effects of its own, HX Effects can also become the centrepiece of a guitar rig, switching in external effects using its two effects loops, sending out midi commands or even switching the channel change and reverb on an amplifier. Paul Hindmarsh takes you through some of the options.
