Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

I started with the "May…Er May Not" patch and kept the Amp, compressor, wah, and Room Reverb. Footswitches for this patch are on the bottom row except the Room Reverb. *****The ZENDRIVE Model in this patch consists of three effects: The G 800 bass preamp, the Deluxe Compressor, and the Minotaur. All three are activated with the ZenLike footswitch. The Multiple (2) switch toggles the Minotaur from a lower gain setting to a higher gain setting (turns up the gain and turns down the tone.) These two settings match my physical Zendrive when I turn up gain on it.***** In general, if you turn the gain up on the Minotaur, you'll need to dial the tone back a bit to maintain the Zendrive characteristics. **MOST OF THE ADJUSTMENT CAN BE DONE ON THE MINOTAUR** The G800 shapes the tonal character. It you decide to adjust the EQ on the G 800, I would start with the mid-low and mid-high. Adjusting the Low or High will take the "model" out of Zendrive territory pretty quickly. That said, there are no rules. _____ I originally did not have the compressor in the patch, but I couldn't get the right bass characteristics without them running out of headroom. The Deluxe Compressor was adjusted to best match the headroom and feel of the physical Zendrive. You can probably further fine-tune that to match your playing style, but as-is it really keeps the Zendrive characteristics in place. ________I have tested this with a few different amp models, as well as hum buckers, single coils and TV Jones FilterTrons. This was the result of exhaustive switching between my actual Zendrive and the three effects. If you like using a Zendrive, I think you'll be very happy with this effect. Texasdave
