Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

*FIRMWARE 3.71* Highly recommend EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport SR Pedal. I own one and love it. I designed this patch to mimic the settings with a main Delay of 465ms in parallel with Reverb slamming into a 232ms Delay and low rate modulation. Works well on clean to breakup and soloing. Of course, the real thing is far better but this is pretty close.
This patch has a two-stage Pre / Boost section for each snapshot, resulting in a better feel for each snap.
Snap 1 - CLN - Bright with a little breakup without stomping on the Pre / Boost. Engage for full-on crunch.
Snap 2 - Crunch - More gain, slightly lowered bass. Stomp on Pre, and or Boost for crunch / classic rock tone.
Snap 3 - HeavyDirt - For that 90’s Grunge, and If you stomp on the Xotic Boost, it allows for more modern Dirt with a little flubby deep bottom end.
Snap 4 - Lead - Boosted from Snap 3 and by default has the Dis.TransportSR for a great lead tone that cuts through a mix well.
All snapshots of this patch can make use of the stomps which include Tube PreAmp, Xotic Boost, Sizzle (Dual Pitch w/ +/- 9.0 Cents for 90’s Chorus like effect), and of course the main reason for this patch, the Disaster Transport SR’ish effect. Use the Expression pedal (used EXP2) to allow more MIX. Note, on the Helix edit, make use of the Tilt EQ to dial in to cut through a mix for both live and recording.
My Guitar Setup for this patch: Baritone PRS SE 277 Mahogany w/Maple Veneer and PRS 85/15 Stock Pickups. Also seems to work rather well on all my other normal scale guitars.
NO Aftermarket IR's
